If you are familiar with the Greene County School Email

2005. These changes include the
following:
- A web

- You can
now access your email from any location having an internet
connection. To access your email,
perform the following steps:

ii.

iii.
Select the link labeled “Staff Email”
- You
can also type in the following URL: https://webmail.greenecountyschools.com
(Be sure to type the https)
- You
may see a security alert message.
If so, select yes. (See
figure 1)

- Outlook,
Outlook Express, or Eudora will no longer work outside of the school
- If
you are currently using Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora in your
classroom there will be no changes.
(You have the option of using either the web interface or one of
the packages listed)
- If
you use Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora at home to access your Greene
County School Email account, you now MUST use the web interface. To keep it simple, whenever you need
to access your email and you are not at school, use the web interface
- Any
emails that were not received or downloaded before July 1 are no longer
available.
- If
you did not check your email before the conversion took place, there is
no way to retrieve any emails not received.
- SPAM
- There
are now spam filters in place.
This should prevent a majority of unwanted emails.
- Blocking
of other email packages
- We will
not start to block any third party email packages until December 2005.
